Village hall showing the garage door open and a car in front of the door - A reproduced black and white photo of the village hall, 40 East Center Avenue, showing the garage door open and a car in front of the door. Village Hall was built in 1904 and designed by architect Webster Tomlinson. The tower was designed to handle the canvas hoses used by fire department. The tower, used to dry the hoses in the early days, was removed in 1935 and replace during Lake Bluff's Centennial year, 1995. Village Hall at one time also housed the jail. Village Hall was built with $6,500 received from railroad contracts,on land donated by village president Fred Cornish and his wife Alice Cornish.

WW1 Donated Ambulance - Green-tint photograph of the ambulance donated and sent to the front lines of France from the citizens of Lake Bluff in 1917. This donation earned Lake Bluff the title of "Most Patriotic Town in America" of its size. Lake Bluff resident, John Kreutzberg, drove this ambulance and won the French Cross of War for is bravery
