Isabella Ross, 76 Lake Bluff Founder Dies - An obituary from Lake Forest News dated January 9, 1936 for Isabella Ross who was a charter member of Lake Bluff Woman's Club, post mistress for two years and owner and editor of Lake Bluff Chat, a weekly newspaper. Ross was a graduate of Northwestern University and taught music in the area. She was also art of the artist colony in Lake Bluff. Two Xerox articles, one from Lake Bluff Chat were Ross has an advertisement offering to teach piano to locals.

9. Isabella Ross home - A Xerox copy of a photo of the home of Isabella Ross located at 331 East Scranton Avenue. Isabella Ross was a charter member of Lake Bluff Woman's Club, post mistress for two years and owner and editor of Lake Bluff Chat, a weekly newspaper. Ross was a graduate of Northwestern University and taught music in the area. She came top Lake Bluff in the early 1900s and was part of the artist colony. The image was found on the American Memory website. The original 4 x 5 glass negative is in the Chicago Historical Society collection.

10. Isabella Ross letter to Village - A letter written by Isabella Ross to the Village of Lake Bluff asking the Village Board to accept her proposal to reestablish Lake Bluff Chat, a local newspaper. Ross is requesting that the village provide a complete report of each regular meeting and have the Village make payment to her for such. Lake Bluff Chat was established in 1909.
