A Xerox copy of a photo of the home of Isabella Ross located at 331 East Scranton Avenue. Isabella Ross was a charter member of Lake Bluff Woman's Club, post mistress for two years and owner and editor of Lake Bluff Chat, a weekly newspaper. Ross was a graduate of Northwestern University and taught music in the area. She came top Lake Bluff in the early 1900s and was part of the artist colony. The image was found on the American Memory website. The original 4 x 5 glass negative is in the Chicago Historical Society collection. |
