Description |
A letter written by Isabella Ross to the Village of Lake Bluff asking the Village Board to accept her proposal to reestablish Lake Bluff Chat, a local newspaper. Ross is requesting that the village provide a complete report of each regular meeting and have the Village make payment to her for such. Lake Bluff Chat was established in 1909. The letter by Ross is undated. Isabella Ross was a charter member of Lake Bluff Woman's Club, post mistress for two years and owner and editor of Lake Bluff Chat, a weekly newspaper. Ross was a graduate of Northwestern University and taught music in the area. She was also art of the artist colony in Lake Bluff. |
