A color postcard panoramic view of the south end of the train depot. Shows a horse and buggy in front and includes a view of the electric line tracks and Sheridan Road. . Message on back postmarked 1909. The train station was designed by Charles Sumner Frost, son-in-law of the owner of the railroad. It was built, at this new location, in 1904 and was renovated in 1979. It is quite similar to other North Shore railway stations with a hip roof and brick and stone exterior. The first railroad cam through Lake Bluff in 1855. |
