2. Excelsior Hat

   US Civil War Excelsior Hat, has rounded crown with small bicorne shape. There is a gold emblem on the front of the hat that has an eagle sitting on top of an American flag crest with the number 13 in the middle, under the crest is a ribbon that says Excelsior. 3. Kelly Helmet

   Olive green Kelly Helmet, with a large rounded crown and small outer brim. The inside of the helmet has a leather liner that protects, cushions, and keeps a snug fit for the wearers head. The liner has the name "BOYD" written on it in several places. On the inside on the metal brim there is a stamp reading "6A". There is also an in tact chin strap connected to the helmet.

4. Lake Bluff in World War I - Several articles and photos pertaining to Lake Bluff's participation in World War I. Lake Bluff was voted one of the most patriotic towns of its size in the country. The people of Lake Bluff raised money and donated an ambulance to the war effort. They also raised money for starving Belgian children during the war.
