1. Creation of Lake Bluff Public Library - Original copy of typewritten notes about the creation of the Lake Bluff Public Library. The first 500 books were donated by Mr. W.N Roundy for circulation and the librarians were simply volunteers donating their services. The document also talks about the librarians eventually receiving a stipend which included paid vacation for 2 weeks. In 1931 the official name "Lake Bluff Public Library" was coined.

These books became the core of the Lake Bluff Library collection when it was founded in 1926.
