The first 500 books were donated by Mr. W.N Roundy for circulation and the librarians were simply volunteers donating their services. The document also talks about the librarians eventually receiving a stipend which included paid vacation for 2 weeks. In 1931 the official name "Lake Bluff Public Library" was coined. |
