1. A copy of a photo or postcard of the Merchant block - A copy of a photo or postcard of the Merchant block, named for its owner, J. C Merchant. Dating to about 1902, it was built with lumber from the Grace Methodist Church that was torn down because it had been erected in the public right-of-way. The Merchant Block was destroyed by fire in 1917, even though the fire department was located next door in the village hall.

Merchant who erected the "Merchant Block" a building located on the corner of East Scranton Avenue and East Center Avenue, and burned in 1917. The current location of Inovasi Restaurant.

In addition to Fancy Groceries and Meats, the store also sold flour, feed, baled hay and straw.
