300 East Prospect Avenue. This was one of the properties sold in 1877 by Solomon Thatcher for $200, according to the deed. It was one of the narrow houses with 2 x 6 solid hardwood floors. Originally board and batten, it is now stucco and has had numerous alterations, an enclosed porch, a third floor, etc. Clara Rykoff, who operated a tearoom at Oak and Center, lived here until 1944. |
