403 East Center Avenue |
Description |
An Architectural and Historic Survey of the Camp Meeting Area of Lake Bluff that was completed in 1998. Additional information about the property is available at the Lake Bluff History Museum. Rosa Agard West built this house at 403 E Center using the same type brick and stone lintels and foundation for her new house. On the third floor was a ballroom. Scratched long ago in the basement wall, by an employed "intellectual itinerant", is a note written in Greek: Twelve-inch oak beams are found in the house. Lawton Crosby also lived here from 1914 until the house was demolished in the early 2000s. Demolished. 403 East Center Avenue Included is a sales brochure. |
