Lake Bluff Pharmacy |
Description |
Black & White glossy photo of Lake Bluff Pharmacy mid 1960s. Graham Munch owned and operated his pharmacy next door, at 40 East Scranton Avenue, in a wood building that later served as the Lake Library in 1959. Munch continued to live upstairs until his death. When Graham Munch retired, he sold his business to his assistant, Howard Willms, who built this new brick building just east of the Munch residence, to house the Lake Bluff Pharmacy, located at 100 East Scranton Avenue. The store remained at that location until the mid-1970s, when Willms built a brand-new building on the site of the original pharmacy. The new Lake Buff Pharmacy closed in the late 1990s, and other businesses now occupy both buildings. |
