Color photograph of Lake Bluff Library at 123 East Scranton Avenue, 1995. "Though it was officially organized in 1926, the Lake Bluff Woman's Club began the first lending library [1919] in a room in the Village hall several years earlier. That operation was soon moved to a room above a Scranton store [the Sankiewicz building ?] and then housed in Graham Munch Drug Store, formerly located at 40 East Scranton Avenue. In 1975 the present library, located at 123 East Scranton Avenue, was dedicated. |
