Gus Kershner also lived there at the time, according to the phone book, (which did not mention the restaurant under his name). Ernest Wade had a grocery store at 34 East Center Avenue. According to Helen (Kennedy) Rose, her father, John Kennedy, owned a Nash automobile agency located at 709 Sheridan Road, where Ragsdale is currently located.
