Janet wore many hats in the village : she was a 2nd grade teacher, librarian and school principal. She served on the Lake Forest High School board from 2002-2007. In 1982 Janet, along with Kathy O'Hara, founded the Vliet Center for Lake Bluff History, now referred to as the Lake Bluff History Museum. She died in Lake Elmo, MN where she had been living since 2003.

15. Robert Robinson 1912 Diploma - A Public School diploma award to Robert Robinson June 13, 1912. Robinson was born Sigmund Robinson in 1901 and sent to the Shipman Foundling Home. After living with a family for a few years, Robinson was transferred to the Lake Bluff Children's Home in 1912, where he was renamed Robert George Robinson. After graduating from Lake Bluff grammar school, he moved to Highland Park. In 1968, Robinson founded Robert G. Robinson Associates, an interior design firm. He died in 1986.
