Stanley Field died in 1965, the house was demolished in the 1967, and the estate was subdivided.

6. The Stanley Field Estate - A Xerox document describing of the Sara and Stanley Field Estate as it was in 1918 with photographs. The original text is with the Illinois Centennial student history album. This record is from a handwritten history of Lake Bluff at the time of the Illinois Centennial, 1918. Written as a part of a county wide centennial program, the history was researched by the 7th and 8th grade classes of the Lake Bluff School.
