6. John George Boess - John George Boess and his wife Mary Julia Hood lived on 501 E Scranton Avenue which they purchased in 1899. He was the third president of Lake Bluff and contributed to the building of the Country Club. Lots of letters from Marjorie Haworth (granddaughter of Mary and George Boess) addressed to Elmer Vliet and a few to other contacts regarding Boess and Hood genealogical records and family history.
