A white plastic ruler from Lake Bluff Hardware Store. The ruler was handed out to celebrate the store's 10th year in business. 1979-1989. It also reads Packy the Shipper and gives the address as 37 East Scranton Avenue. The slogan Our Tenth Year on the ruler is misleading: There has been at this location, a hardware store beginning in the 1940s when the store was called Dern's Hardware and Paint / Variety Store.

Peterson purchased the store located at 37 East Scranton Avenue in the 1950s in partnership with his mother-in-law Celista Ross. Peterson's store closed in the 1970s.
