First President of Village of Lake Bluff Reverend Trusdell came to Lake Bluff with the LBCMA and served as manager of the Lake Bluff Hotel. He built the home at 115 Center about 1888. 115 East Center Avenue - Four (4) images of the Charles G. Trusdell house, built in 1887. 115 East Center Avenue was built by Charles Trusdell in 1887. A large living room to the south opened onto a veranda that overlooked Artesian Lake. The Reverend Trusdell became the first president of the Village of Lake Bluff after it was incorporated in 1895. Trusdell was secretary of the Camp Meeting Association and Village president from 1895 to 1902. When there was a lake here, the house faced it and the present front door was originally the back entrance.
