Willis Variation Petition - A letter from Elmer Vliet to the Village Board of Trustees, concerning a request by Richard Willis for a variance for the setback of his house, located at 414 East Prospect Avenue. Vliet goes on to say that the home is featured in the 1877 Camp Meeting Annual, and was one of the cottages that was built within 20 days at a cost of $250. The owners of the house Mathew and Mary Parkhurst, "built the Willis cottage only about 2 feet from the east line,; perhaps due to the fact that the Rev. W. T. Gray who had bought the two lots east of [theirs] had built his cottage on his easterly lot leaving open space between his and the Parkhurst cottage".
