A letter to J. H. Taylor - A letter to J. H. Taylor of the Swift and Company presumably from John Griffith, regarding renting the Russell house, and collecting rent from Miss Judson. Lucy Judson was living in Lake Forest at the time, according to the 1920 census. Judson was also superintendent of Lake Bluff Orphanage. John Griffith was part of Griffith, Grant and Lackie, one of the oldest real estate firms on the north shore.

The James B. Hobbs Building the orphanage Lake Bluff - Sepia photograph showing the Hobbs Building at the Lake Bluff Orphanage. Hobbs was a major contributor to the founding of the orphanage.
