After that, he picked up a variety of odd jobs such as landscaping for the Lake Bluff Camp Meeting Association and chopping wood for the North Western Railroad. This document also includes some brief information about Leopold's mother, Elizabeth, such as her maiden name (Rieffen), arrival in Lake Bluff (1886), and job (working for the Fowler Hotel).
