11. Letters to and from Ann Grant - Letters to and from Ann Grant (1) Letter from Ann Grant, President of League of Women Voters, to Howard D. Monroe, Village President, regarding a study done by the LWV on the nominating procedures of the school and park boards and found that the proposed system for the village board did not provide a representative government for Lake Bluff. Grant recommended the adoption of a non-partisan nominating system. Grants also says the LWV was willing to set up a democratic caucus system for the village board. (2) Letter from Howard D. Monroe, Village President, to Ann Grant, President of League of Women Voters, stating Grant's letter of June 18, 1970 has received attention and believed her inquiry should have been directed to the secretary of the Progressive Party, whom Monroe forwarded the letter.
