Gilbert Curren - Gilbert Curren honored his philosophy "if you lived in a community, you should be apart of it." Residing on 317 Ravine Forest Drive, Gilbert Curren worked as a senior executive with Johns-Manville and served as the Village President from 1957-1961. Gilbert Curren was a major donor to the village, donating for community projects such as the Village Hall tower restoration and the construction of the new museum addition to the library. For Lake Bluff's centennial in 1995, Curren put together a video series on the town's history titled, "Lake Bluff -- A Self Portrait," and used the profits to donate to the Lake Bluff History Museum.
