Original copy of a typed document detailing the creating of the Lake Bluff Public Library. It details the following: - In 1926 Library Directors were elected - In 1927 a store for the Library was opened at 34 Center Ave - In 1933 the Library was moved into two stores at 36 and 38 Center Ave - In 1944 the Library moved to 113 Scranton Ave - February 1958 Graham Munch donated his building, 40 Scranton Ave, to the library - In 1960 Daniel McMasters donated some of his property along Prospect Ave for Library purposes - the Library sold this for $31,500 in which proceeds were used for a new building fund. - In 1975 the Library moved once again to its final destination 123 E. Scranton Ave. |
