Title |
Early Lake Bluff by Emily Miller |
Description |
The first page is a note from Elmer Vliet to Don [Spooner] ? regarding Emily Millers write-up of old Lake Bluff. In this note, Vliet also mentions Bob Davis, who at one time owned Tangley Oaks, the home of the Armours, in which Bob tells Elmer that he has a land survey of Tangley Oaks made in 1916 "that shows a log cabin about 50 feet north of the present entrance gate to Tangley Oaks. Vliet speculates that this "may have been the original Cloes cabin that Emily mentions". The remaining is a six page report by Lake Bluff resident Emily Miller, in which she describes the Cloes family, Camp Meeting days and up to the mid 1960s. |
