The First and Second Annual Reports to Shareholders 1965 and 1966 for The First National Bank of Lake Bluff. This report mentions Vice President and Cashier John Andersen and "the three ladies who make up our staff..." The report presents statements of condition and earnings, mentions it affiliate relationship with The First National Bank of Lake Forest. The lease on the current building expired September 1, 1969. The second Annual Report states that the bank secured options to purchase three lots lying just east of Oak Street / Oak Avenue on the north side of East Scranton Avenue (120 East Scranton Avenue.) The Village rezoned the lots for business purposes and the new building will be ready when the lease expires. The First National Bank of Lake Bluff opened April 15, 1965 in a leased building at 30 East Scranton and moved to 120 East Scranton Avenue in 1972. This building later served as the location of Northern Trust Bank and PNC Bank, before it was demolished in June, 2025. |
