An article from the Lake Bluff Review of April 22, 1965 showing the opening of the First National Bank of Lake Bluff at 30 East Scranton, on April 15th, 1965. Local historian Elmer Vliet cut the ribbon with Philip Speidel, Chairman of The First National Bank of Lake Forest, and village president Robert Davis. John Anderson and others were also present for the event. The First National Bank of Lake Bluff opened April 15, 1965 in a leased building at 30 East Scranton Avenue and moved to 120 East Scranton Avenue in 1972. This building later served as the location of Northern Trust Bank and PNC Bank, before it was demolished in June, 2025. |
