Reports from the Membership Committee Report Topics Include: (1) 20 Prospective members to be seen by a committee member, tentative social program for 1940-1941 (2) 231 names of individuals and families were considered for the general list to receive invitations for membership, 155 letters were sent containing invitations for membership, 21 new members. (3) 310 invitations sent to prospective members, 230 Town and Tennis bulletins were sent to prospective members, 73 new members have joined (4) 35-40 new voting members have been added, approx. 74 people were discussed but considered improbable as new members, 25 individuals indicated that they do not wish to join the club, list of people who have moved from town and should not be considered, list of people who should be considered at a later date, list of high school/college age individuals, the possibility of honorary membership to those holding public office, the possibility of restricted membership for non-residents. |
