Originally from Baltimore, William Cochran moved to Chicago after being offered the Secretary of the Booth Fisheries Company position in 1887. Cochran moved to Lake Bluff, and from 1913-1917 Cochran served as the Village President. Along with being a member of the Lake Bluff Country Club and Village Hall, Cochran earned many titles and degrees as a member of the Order of Royal and Select Masters. Cochrans daughter, Nell, married French Cross of War recipient John Kreutzberg. Family photos and a portrait photograph of William Francis Cochran. 1905 Northshore Country Fair catalogue.
