Copy of a 1955 Chicago Tribune interview highlighting Bright's take and solution to his districts reading and spelling average. Bright explains his introduction of the Hay Wingo method (teaching with phonetics) to the curriculum. 1967 Lake Forester article featuring a photograph of Bright with the present superintendent of the time and kindergarten teacher, Lois Gilchrest. Bright personal copy of his 1882 "Graded Instruction in English" hardcovered teaching method book, written and published by himself. |
