Another A Xerox article from the online Chicago Tribune, January 22, 1929 announcing her marriage to Henry Weber, an assistant conductor. The two met while in Vienna. Marion Claire Cook Weber was an internationally known opera singer in the late 1920s and 1930s. In 1942, she sang in the Hollywood film Make a Wish. In 1942 she joined her husband, Henry Weber, in producing the Chicago Theater of the Air program on WGN radio. She was the daughter of Grace and Horace Cook and lived at 700 East Center Avenue. |
