A reprinted letter from Ben Cloes dated December 26, 1930 which he wrote to the Superintendent of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest. Writing from his home in Gardena California, he writes that he remembers he was present when the first Sunday School was started in the old Log House about one-half mile north of the Atteridge home (in Lake Forest) on Stephen Kelly land. Cloes also mentions the family of Dr. Charles Quinlan and the Brown family from Lake Forest. |
