A six page article about the historic renovation of the coach house that belonged to Harry and Elizabeth Clow, called Lansdowne. Formerly located at 128 Moffett, now 600 Lansdowne Lane, Lake Bluff. The makeover was completed by Jeff and Gary Lawrence of Lawrence Interiors, Lake Bluff for the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago's Lake Forest Showhouse in 2009. the article was featured in the December issue of North Shore Magazine. Also known as the Harry Beach Clow house Harry B. Clow (1869-1933) was the president of Rand McNally & Co., Chicago publishers, beginning in 1907. The house was featured in the July 4, 1914 Parade Book. The grounds originally covered 22 acres. The estate has since been divided and the coach house demolished. |
